About Rachel

Rachel is a Cornish-based artist whose love of colour and creativity has been a constant throughout her life.

For almost forty years, she worked as a hairdresser and colourist, where mixing, balancing and experimenting with colour became second nature. Alongside her career, Rachel was always creating, making and selling a variety of artistic pieces whenever time allowed.

When the physical demands of hairdressing began to take their toll, Rachel decided it was time to put her creative energy somewhere new. She now dedicates herself to painting, creating bold, expressive abstract work filled with colour, movement and spontaneity.

Rachel still wears her old hairdressing apron to paint — already splashed with years of tint and bleach, it is now gathering a new layer of paint and becoming part of her story as an artist.

The tools have changed, but the passion for colour hasn’t.
